An Old-World Soul Creating a Vivid and Enchanted Home

I’m Rae. I am an old-world soul with a deep appreciation for modern sparkle. As a Jersey girl turned desert dweller, I believe a home should be much more than just a place to sleep—it should be a living, breathing sanctuary. I am on a continuous mission to fill my space with rich texture, deep meaning, and quiet beauty.

“I believe that magic isn’t found in the extraordinary, but in the way we pour our morning coffee, light our candles, and claim our peace.”

A Vivid Sanctuary in the Desert

Since moving to Tucson in 2007, I’ve been mindfully building my own version of an enchanted farmhouse cottage amidst the cactus and the sun. My style is a deliberate blend of the weathered and the refined—an intentional mix of worn woods and soft velvet.

I find endless inspiration in the striking colors of the Arizona skies, accenting my world with touches of gold, vibrant turquoise, and the deep, rich tones of an evergreen forest. Through the years, I’ve learned that life is at its absolute best when we allow ourselves to soften, settle in, and rise in that bright, steady light.

Life, Rhythms & Roots

My home is a space of deep love and spirited energy, shared with my husband, Ronnie, and a lively houseful of beloved animals. By day, I navigate the fast-paced digital world of tech support; by afternoon and evening, I reclaim my time for creative lingering, gaming, and the quiet daily rituals that turn a physical house into a true haven before the stars take over the desert sky.

This blog is a dedicated space where I explore the beautiful, chaotic, and shining layers of an intentional life. From honoring old-world ancestry and creating modern rituals to finding the balance between tech life and tactile comfort, it’s all about weaving beauty into the everyday.

This space is always open to you. Whether you are a fellow desert dweller, a lover of old history, or someone looking to bring a little more peace and quiet sparkle into your own routine, I invite you to pull up a chair, pour a warm cup of something comforting, and stay a while.

Warmly,

Rae
